Design
Our Penrose all-over printed t-shirt design is a minimalist riff on the iconic Penrose tiling pattern. With just 2 tiles we are able to create an aperiodic pattern that would carry on endlessly without ever repeating.
The design, created by Jessica In, plays with the Penrose form by using negative space that subtly alludes to the hidden tiles, adding extra complexity to the familiar pattern. Also, she introduces a fractal element to the structure by placing scaled down tiles with empty space.
